The Retail Secure Legends Awards will be presented at a breakfast event on the morning of the Retail Secure Conference.
Retail Secure full conference tickets include access to the awards breakfast. Individual tickets and tables can also be purchased independently of the conference and includes opening session with Dr. Larry Barton.

The Retail Secure Legends Awards Program is a distinguished initiative designed to honor and celebrate the exceptional contributions of individuals within the retail loss prevention industry who have demonstrated exceptional skill, innovation, and dedication in safeguarding businesses.
This inaugural program seeks to spotlight those who have exhibited exemplary leadership, implemented effective loss prevention strategies, and made a significant impact on the security and integrity of retail operations. By acknowledging these Retail Secure Legends, the awards program aims to inspire others in the industry, foster a culture of excellence, and highlight the crucial role played by these individuals in maintaining safety, security, and profitability in retail.
Nominations are welcomed from across the industry, encompassing diverse roles such as store front employees, loss prevention officers, managers, and executives.
Nominated by their peers, winners are selected in three categories:
- Leadership Legend (Director and higher)
- Emerging Legend (any candidate who is not a Director or higher)
- In-Store Legend (anyone, including managers, who work directly in a store or customer facing location)
Eligibility
Must work in the Canadian retail industry with a specialty in loss prevention, asset protection, risk management, or equivalent.
Open to retail and suppliers within the industry.
Those nominating an individual for this award are asked to provide details on the following:
- Why they nominated this person for the award.
- Specific examples of the person’s achievements.
- How the person is contributing positively to the industry.
